Our First Veggie Basket

We got lots of greens. It's been too cold for real veggies. Fresh tomatoes and basil, can't wait! I have so many recipes bookmarked...

Summer is Here!

It's hot! I got my first sunburn yesterday sitting out on a terrasse. Hopefully the last.

a fresh start

today however, started off muuuuch better! I was treated to birthday pancakes with "mixed berry compote" (how fancy) and then I even got books in the mail!! (thanks!) pretty books that I can read on the beach on our honeymoon (in 3 and a half weeks!!!) and then put on my book shelf and admire for years on end... you're the best.

ps: although it was only out for dinner and a movie, I did wear a pretty dress. a blue one in honor of  the old Jean Baptiste.

a rude awakening

yesterday did not get off to a good start. I pulled a neck/shoulder muscle getting out of bed (what am I 85?) So the ceiling was pretty much all I got to see for most of the day...I did catch up on some sleep though since holding my book was too much effort.

Just one more pic! I ate a poutine in your honour for your birthday. This is a serious poutine with real gravy and everything. None of that packaged stuff for my best friend on her special day! Remember, all of Quebec is celebrating your birthday today, so wear something pretty.

In order not to go insane with wedding planning and home renovations, I have to sometimes force myself to do things that are calming, creative and get my mind off everything else! So the other day I made some wall art. It reminds me of our NY trip every time I walk by it...;)
